Ethical ecotourism programs create sustainable livelihoods & income for many Bunong families - these employment opportunities and livelihoods reduces the financial dependency on illegal logging & hunting. Additionally educating local youth, encorages learning & have a chance of a better future.
Through daily work in local forests and villages, conservation patrols teams are evolved in wildlife rescues & rehabilitation. Regularly helping to save Leopard cat, Slow lorises, Macaques, Otters and many other species.
wildlife in the province is under continuous threat from wild meat and Chinese medicine from hunters, snares & illigal captivity.
Some sanctuaries operate volunteering and local school visit programs, and sometimes host student groups from Cambodian cities at local sanctuaries.
This work creates an opportunity for local students to experience wildlife ethically, as well as introduce discussions on: climate change, sustainable forestry & ethical wildlife management, wildlife protection and other relevant conservation issues.
